Pengaruh Imported Inputs Terhadap Performa Perusahaan di Industri Manufaktur: Studi Kasus di Indonesia Tahun 2008-2015

Putra, David Sanotona Kusuma Aditya - ; Nanda Nurridzki, M.E. (Pembimbing/Promotor) - ;

With growth of global value chain (GVC), use of imported inputs are becoming more prevalence in production process. Some countries, like Indonesia, restrict firm?s usage of imported input with Tingkat Kandungan Dalam Negeri (TKDN)/ local content requirement (LCR). Indonesia has been using LCR from 1950 until in the present days Indonesian Government targeted LCR to be up to 50% on average on multiple sectors in 2024, as stated on Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2019-2024. Aim of this study is to explain impact of imported inputs to firm?s performances on manufacture industri in Indonesia, hence it can be evaluated whether more restrictive policy of LCR is a correct policy or not. Panel regression fixed effect method is used to explain impact of imported inputs to firm?s performances, in which the indicators used are productivity, output, value added, export, wage of production and non-production workers, and total labors. Data used in this study are obtained from survei Industri Besar Sedang (IBS) Badan Pusat Statistik Indonesia (BPS Indonesia) from 2008-2015. The results of this study are imported inputs affect firm?s performances positively. For addition, this study also aims to see differences on impact of imported inputs usage to firm?s performances on subsectors that has potential to participate on GVC (GVC subsectors) and subsectors that does not have potential to participate on GVC (non-GVC subsectors). The result is there are no significant differences between GVC subsector and non-GVC sector except for productivity and wage of production workers. Use of share imported inputs in GVC subsectors affect productivity higher but wage of production workers lower compared to non-GVC subsectors. So, restrictive policy of LCR does not affect firm?s performances positively and it is better for Indonesian Government to relax LCR policy.Ada Tabel
