Analisis Dampak Perdagangan Internasional dan Kepemilikan Asing terhadap Decent Work dan Produktivitas Tenaga Kerja Industri Otomotif Indonesia tahun 2000-2015
International trade and ownership of foreign investors are phenomena that generally occurs in large labor-based industries such as the manufacturing industry and industrial sub-sectors such as the automotive industry. Both of these are forms of economic upgrading in order to achieve increased profitability and productivity, but economic upgrading is not necessarily accompanied by an increase in the welfare of the industrial workforce itself (social upgrading). Thus, this study aims to analyze the impact of international trade and foreign ownership on essential decent work indicators and labor productivity of the Indonesian automotive industry. This study uses fixed effect regression method for 7137 company data from 2000-2015 sourced from IBS statistics. The results show that international trade and foreign ownership have a positive and significant impact on several indicators of decent work and productivity, although there are some exceptions on some variables such as share of female workers and incentives. As a result, the researcher emphasizes the need for the Indonesian automotive industry to be more active in carrying out international trade activities and attracting various foreign investments with a note that there is a need to create regulations that regulate adequate incentives and certain proportion of female workers in the industry.Ada Tabel
