Dampak Kebijakan Tingkat Kandungan Dalam Negeri Ponsel 4G Terhadap Performa Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia
This study aims to find the empirical evidence on the impact of changes on Local Content Requirements (LCR) policy for 4G LTE Devices in 2017, in which there is an increase in the minimum level of LCR that must be met, on the performance of telecommunications companies. This study uses Industrial Survey data (Survei Industri) and 2016 Economic Census data (Sensus Ekonomi 2016). this study uses the dependent variables such as company output, company productivity, the proportion of imported raw materials for companies, and the proportion of foreign funding on companies as performance indicators. The result shows that changes in LCR policy tends to have a negative effect on the company's output and productivity. This thing can occur because the company experienced an increase in production costs due to being forced to increase the proportion of domestic raw/intermediate materials. In addition, the results of the study also showed that there was an increase in imports of raw/intermediate materials by the company. it is estimated that this could happen because the domestic electronic component industry is still unable to meet the standards set by the companies. Then, the proportion of company foreign investment was positively affected by changes in the LCR policy.Ada Tabel
