Pengaruh Kinerja Environmental, Social dan Governance terhadap Kinerja Keuangan Lembaga Keuangan Mikro di Negara Berkembang tahun 2014-2018
This research is conducted to acknowledge the impact of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices to the financial performance of microfinance institutions (MFI), which will be measured by the return on asset (ROA). The dataset used in this research is a balanced panel data consisting of 69 MFIs that operate within 34 developing countries throughout a 5 year period from 2014 ? 2018 which are obtained through The MIX Market and The World Bank database. Then, the data analysis would be conducted using the robust fixed effect (FE) method of regression. The result of this paper signifies that there is a significant and positive impact from the social variable, yet indicates no significant impact from the environmental and governance variable. Robustness check also shows consistent result that social performance would have a positive impact on the financial performance of MFIs. Finally, this research gives new perspectives regarding the correlation of ESG and the financial performance for regulators, academics and MFIs.Ada Tabel
