Intellectual capital has gained attention in various industries, especially the knowledge-intensive ones such as banks. This study seeks to investigate the effect of intellectual capital on the profitability and stability of banks in Indonesia. Using a sample of 75 commercial banks in Indonesia for the period 2015-2019, this study uses the MVAIC proxy to measure intellectual capital. Using the fixed-effect model method, this study finds that intellectual capital has a significant and positive effect on the profitability and stability of banks in Indonesia. The only subcomponent of MVAIC that has a positive and significant effect on both bank profitability and stability is Human Capital Efficiency (HCE). Meanwhile, CEE also has a positive and significant effect on bank profitability, but it does not affect stability. In addition, the study found that foreign private ownership in banks has a positive effect on stability, but negative on profitability. This research has implications so that banks can pay attention to the composition of their intellectual capital in order to achieve a competitive advantage.Ada Tabel
