Text
Drawing on research by De Luca and Atuahene-Gima, the study identifies three key resources: market knowledge (breadth, depth, specificity, and tacitness), cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge integration mechanisms. The findings reveal that market knowledge specificity and depth, along with cross-functional collaboration, significantly enhance product innovation performance through effective knowledge integration. Market knowledge breadth has a direct positive impact, while tacitness shows no influence. The study underscores the importance of aligning knowledge integration mechanisms with the type of market knowledge and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation. Additionally, it highlights managerial implications, emphasizing the need for structured processes, resource allocation, and incentives to promote information sharing and collaboration. The research, conducted among high-technology firms in China, provides actionable insights for organizations aiming to improve their innovation processes and sustain competitive advantage.
