The global automotive industry is currently undergoing significant changes, particularly due to radical innovations such as autonomous, connected, and electrified vehicles (ACE). In response, Indonesia’s automotive sector has initiated the commercialization of electric vehicles (EVs). This study empirically examines the relationships among seven key variables: government support, distributor support, dealer head office support, dealer branch transformational leadership, dealer branch resource orchestration, dealer branch absorptive capacity, and dealer branch adoption readiness. 15 hypotheses were developed and tested using data collected from 140 respondents across head offices and branches of various automotive brands in Indonesia. Analysis using SPSS 25 and SEM LISREL 8.8 revealed several findings: (1) distributor support has the strongest influence on dealer head office support; (2) government support indirectly and directly affects dealer head office support through the mediating role of distributor support; (3) dealer head office support directly influences resource orchestration at the branch level, both directly and through transformational leadership; (4) dealer head office support does not directly impact branch absorptive capacity without the presence of transformational leadership; and (5) resource orchestration indirectly and directly affects branch adoption readiness through absorptive capacity. This study highlights the importance of synergy among key stakeholders in supporting the readiness of Indonesian automotive dealers to adopt electric vehicles.
