Economic analysis of information technology implementation : a case study in a state-owned bank

Companies are growing rapidly, and they are forced to offer competitive advantages in order for their businesses to survive. These competitive advantages can take form in many ways, such as the use of information technology. Banking industry responds quickly with these issues in order to provide better services for the customer satisfaction. One of the applications implemented to be one step ahead in winning customers is the Customer Relationship Management application that can be met in several forms, such as the e-banking services, which enable customers to use banks services with the assistance of Information Technology. Bank X has chosen to implement the e-banking in the form of Automated Teller Machine (ATM), SMS Banking, Call Banking, and Internet Banking. Due to the high cost of Information Technology implementation, each bank should carefully assess the economics of Information Technology implementation in its organization, by stressing on three general things: Information Technology spending, Information Technology strategy, and Information Technology management/capability. Integrated Core Banking System integrates all of the electronic channels owned by Bank X to help customers by saving their time in doing transactions and having the convenience of doing transactions from anywhere. The system is also fulfilling the different needs of different customers by allowing them to choose the methods of transactions that are about to be conducted.Ada tabel
