Perancangan strategy maps dan balanced scorecard sebagai sistem manajemen stratejik : studi kasus pada perusahaan perkebunan kelapa sawit

Palm industry has gone through a substantial development in recent years. This development is driven by world?s increasing demand for palm oil, which in turn has increased the price of palm oil and created a huge profit potential for all companies operating in this industry. But at the other side, there are many challenges that need to be solved, ranging from stiff competition to environmental issue, about which regulatory body and consumers is paying more attention recently. PT. X, as a family palm plantation company, is not an exception from all those dynamics. In the effort to reach their goals, PT. X needs to overcome the internal challenges that they faced, such as the absence of clear vision and mission, strategy that has not been formulated in systematical manner, the absence of strategy implementation system, and performance measurement system that?s based only on financial and operational aspects. Without answering those internal challenges, PT. X will not be able to answer the external challenges that they faced, in order to win the competition and reach their goals, achieving their mission, and realizing their vision. Therefore, this descriptive-analysis, case-study type thesis is aimed to design for PT. X a vision, mission, strategy, and strategic management system that is designed to help the implementation of the strategy and to measure the performance of the company in a comprehensive manner. Strategy Maps and Balanced Scorecard framework from Kaplan and Norton will be use in designing the strategic management system. The conclusion from the analysis made on this thesis is that PT. X still has many rooms for improvements. PT. X has the potential to become substantially stronger in the future. How PT. X could make the necessary improvements and changes, implement the strategy they have, and reach their goals, will be facilitated by Strategy Maps and Balanced Scorecard designed in this thesis.Ada tabel
