Determinan perdagangan bilateral dan linder hypothesis : kasus hubungan dagang Indonesia dengan beberapa negara berkembang
This study?s concern is to view the determinants of bilateral trade for manufacture and Linder Hypothesis on developing countries, as well as the effect of ASEAN Free Trade Agreement?s (AFTA) membership on export and import. The focus of this study is Indonesia?s manufacture trade with Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Egypt for the period 1995-2005. Using the gravity model and pooled least square method, the result shows that the determinants of Indonesia?s export on manufacture are Indonesia?s trade partners? GDP, exchange rate, Indonesia?s CPI, and its membership on AFTA. As for the determinant of Indonesia?s import on manufacture are Indonesia?s trade partners? GDP, exchange rate, Indonesia and its trade partners? CPI, as well as its membership on AFTA. Moreover, this study also indicates that Linder Hypothesis is only relevant in explaining import in the case of developing countries.Ada tabel
