This study attempts to address the impact of local economic governance conducted by local authorities to their societies? welfare in Indonesia?s decentralization era. The welfare indicators used in this study are income per capita level and percentage of poor residence in regency level in 2006. Meanwhile, the economic governance indicator used in this study is Local Governance Index 2006 developed by Komite Pemantauan Pelaksanaan Otonomi Daerah (KPPOD). In general, it is found in this study that economic governance has positive impact to society?s welfare, despite there is a bunch of regions that does not have such impact just yet.Ada tabel
