Analisis hubungan kerja operasional dengan return saham berdasarkan ukuran perusahaan : (studi empiris perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2000 - 2007)

Financial report of the firm is the main source for investor to evaluate the performance of the firm before investing on that firm. The characteristics of the firm is different, thus it will affect the performance of the firm itself. The difference of those characteristics could be find, for example, between the domestic company and multinational company or between small-sized firm, medium-sized firm and large-sized firm. This research is intended to infer the relationship of operational performance that reflected from financial report of the firm to firm stock return with consideration of the firm size (that use the total asset of the firm for the proxy of the firm size). Using the sample of 75 manufacturing firm listed in BEI that is already classified based on the firm size; small-sized firm, medium-sized firm and large-sized firm, that is intended to capture the difference from those characteristics of the firm. The data used in this research is panel data as firm stock return used as a dependent variable and firm operational performance (that use the ratio of ROE, ROA, NPM, TATO, CES and CS as a proxy) as independent variable. The finding of this research is that firm operational performance is significantly affect the firm stock return for each classification of the firm size and the research also find that the explanatory power of firm operational performance to firm stock return and the independent variable that consistently significant is different for each classification of the firm size.Ada tabel
