Kompetisi perbankan Indonesia sebelum dan sesudah krisis dengan menggunakan metode panzar rosse

Tjahjanto Budisatrio (Pembimbing/Promotor) - ; Dila Nafiria - ;

This study investigates competition in banking industry in the period of before and after crisis. This study uses Panzar Rosse non-structural method. The study uses pooled least square regression method to look at the industry as a whole, and then uses fixed effect regression to see the individual behavior in competing for interest income, related with the tendency of credit rationing. Sample includes 10 largest bank in terms of deposit and credit in Indonesia?s banking industry. This study uses quarterly data, with period of 1993.3-1997.3 (before crisis), and 2002.4-2007.4 (after crisis). The hypothesis that banking industry has the type of oligopoly competition cannot be denied by this research. The use of fixed effect method could prove that individual bank behavior before crisis has no difference, although after crisis, there is difference in individual bank behavior in competing for interest income.Ada tabel
