Analisis faktor determinan efisiensi perbankan di Indonesia
The purpose of this thesis is to study the impacts of several operational and financial factors, such as bank size, scope of operational area, the level of technology usage, bankruptcy risk, and credit risk, on the efficiency of several categories of the bank during the period of 2003-2006. The results of the study show that the bank size has a positive significant impact, while bankruptcy risk and credit risk, each of them has a negative significant impact on the level of operational efficiency of the bank. Meanwhile, the usage of technology, represented by the number ATM terminals, and the scope of operational area, represented by the number of branch offices, does not show having a significant impact on operational efficiency of the bank. The study also disclose that Bank Pesero (central state owned bank) and BPD (regional state owned banks) are the most efficient categories among four catogories of the bank under examination. Hopefully, the results of the study can be used as a reference by many parties, such as bank management in order to improve performance and efficiency as well as other stakeholders in making strategic decisions related to the use of banking services.Ada tabel
