Sistem nilai tukar dan stabilitas makroekonomi di Indonesia
This paper analyzed exchange rate system and macroeconomic stability in Indonesia. The macroeconomic variables used in this paper are inflation and real GDP. Based on research in this paper, we can conclude that each of exchange rate system period has given different impact to macroeconomic stability in Indonesia. According to the single purpose of Bank of Indonesia to achieve and maintain rupiah stability, which contains two things, stability of rupiah value against goods and services reflected in the rate of inflation, and stability in the rupiah currency against other currencies, which is reflected in the development of exchange rates, based on the calculations that have been done, it can be concluded that managed floating exchange rate system is the most suitable exchange rate system for Indonesia because it creates the lowest and the most stable inflation rate.
