Analisis dampak perluasan perkebunan kelapa sawit terhadap deforestasi di Provinsi Riau : 2001 - 2007
The purpose of this thesis, identify impact of oil palm plantation expansion toward deforestation in Riau Province. First, impact for deforestation are analyzed by Kuznets Model through increasing income percapita for every regency in Riau Province, the second is plantation infrastructure through developing road accessibilities, and building factory of plantation production, the third is land competitive model, and the last is institutional factor. This thesis also explain effort of many institutional to support environmental sustainable by concept, pilot project, and certification. In this thesis, indicator of deforestation is forest cover. Data for analysis is secondary data. Method of analysis for this thesis is econometric method with regression and factor of causalities. Data processing use Panel Data and Granger Causality test with period from 2001 until 2007. Panel Data processing use Fixed Effect approach and Random Effect approach. Finally, government, private corporate, and society intervention are needed to reduce deforestation in Riau Province. Ada label
