Analisis pengaruh direktur independen dan komisaris independen terhadap kinerja operation dan kinerja pasar perusahaan
This study analyses the effect of Independent Directors (DI) and the independent commissioners (KI) towards the operational performance (ROA) and the market performance (log PBV) of 249 companies that are listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in the year 2009. The estimation method used is OLS (Ordinary Least Square). Different to what was first expected, the study result shows that DI has a negative significant effect to ROA and PBV. The fact that DI is still an issue and is yet to be mandatory may cause the role of DI to yet be effective. Investors have also yet to respond to DI in a positive light. In the mean time, as expected the study result shows that the KI percentage has a significant positive effect to the firms operational performance, which means KI plays a significant part in increasing the firm?s operational performance. But this study has failed to complement the hypothesis that states KI may have a significant effect towards the market performance. This may be an indicator that investors have yet to trust the KI?s role within a certain organization.Ada tabel
