Komposisi pengeluaran pemerintah dan pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia, 1979-2008
This thesis analyzes the influence of the components of government expenditure to Indonesia economic growth during the period 1979-2008. Specifically this study intended for two things: (1) Determine whether the large government expenditures affect economic growth in the period of study, (2) Determine components of government spending that significantly affects economic growth. The study was conducted using ordinary least squares regression method (OLS) and descriptive analysis with a total observation period of 30 years from 1979 to 2008. Government expenditure in this study are classified into three components, namely, capital expenditure, non-capital expenditures, and subsidies. The conclusion of this study is that total government spending does not significantly affect Indonesia economic growth. Furthermore, among the three components of government expenditure, there is no component that give significantly positive effect on growth in the study period. Component of government spending that has a positive influence on growth is capital spending, but the effect is not significant; In contrast, spending on subsidies and noncapital expenditure negatively affect economic growth, but only noncapital expenditure that has a significant influence.Ada tabel
