Faktor-faktor sosial ekonomi yang mempengaruhi pengeluaran rokok rumah tangga perokok di Indonesia

This research examines the determinants of cigarette expenditure on smoking households in Indonesia using 2005-2008 National Socio-Economic Survey. Using OLS with log-linear model, it is found that income, proxied by household total expenditure, has the strongest effect on household cigarette expenditure. Other factors that significantly affect household cigarette expenditure are sex ratio, mean years of schooling, and mean age. Location by urban-rural areas, tobacco production areas, and areas grouped by island also affect household cigarette expenditure. Regression by income quintile shows that the lower the income quintile, the more elastic income elasticity of cigarette expenditure.Ada tabel
