Studi eksploratif tentang partisipasi pekerja perempuan dalam serikat pekerja : studi kasus pada perusahaan kosmetik PT XYZ
The focus of this study is about female workers‟ participation in union of cosmetic company PT. XYZ with the purpose of knowing the reasons why female workers in Indonesia join and participate in union and how the union‟s committee enhance participation of female workers. This is qualitative research where data was collected through in-depth interviews. This findings show that family, trade union, occupation, feminist, and society culture influence participation of female worker in union. There is factor of society culture also influence participation of female worker in union in Indonesia, it different with prior research from Kirton (2005) in UK that show only four factors influence participation of female worker in union there. This research suggests that union must develop the special policies for female workers and make a socialization with support from management to encourage female workers‟ participation in union.
