Potensi dampak kebijakan cabotage terhadap struktur perekonomian Indonesia : studi kasus industri pelayaran minyak dan gas
As the largest maritime country in the world, maritime transport plays an important role in enhancing the connectivity between the island and also the value-added economy of Indonesia. In domestic sea freight transportation, Indonesia only control the proportion of 55.5 percent, while foreign companies transporting the remaining 45.5 percent. In accordance with Presidential Instruction in 2005, the government implemented cabotage principle that prohibits foreign vessels to carry out activities in Indonesian waters. The cabotage shipping policy in Indonesia has been going well, except a policy of cabotage in the oil and gas shipment are not completely worked well. Therefore, the Indonesian shipping industry has lagged far behind from other countries. The purpose of this study is to look at the impact of the cabotage policy against oil and gas shipping industry in Indonesia. Analysis were performed using the input-output method to see the effect in the economy if the cabotage policy is fully implemented, as well as in depth interviews with some of the relevant stakeholdersAda tabel
