This study aims to analyze husbands? and wives? commuting time applying gender roles framework measured by number of under-five, productive age members, elderly, and dual earners within a household. By employing multinomial logistic regression on Sakernas 2011 data, it is found that more under-five children increase the probability to travel longer while more productive age members reduces the probability to travel longest for husbands and wives. The presence of elderly and having working spouse have different effect on husbands and wives. These variables lower the probability to commute longest for husbands but increase the probability of commute longest for wives.Ada tabel
