Keragaman gender dan kinerja keuangan perusahaan : hasil studi dari Inggris
This research investigates whether gender diversity in boards of directors enhances the financial performance of the firms in the UK and to determine the optimum percentage of diversity in the boardroom. The sample of this research includes companies listed in the FTSE 100 from 2008 to 2010. To examine the relationships between gender diversity and firm financial performance, the research analyses data retrieved from a panel of participants. Results show that gender diversity has no significant effect on a firm?s Return on Equity (ROE) or Return on Investment (ROI), but find a significant positive correlation between gender diversity and Return on Assets (ROA). Additionally, this research discovers that there exists a U-inverted relationship between gender diversity and a firm?s Return on Assets (ROA), indicating that there is an optimum point of gender composition in the boardroom.Ada tabel
