Dewi Hanggraeni (Pembimbing/Promotor) - ; Hardianto - ;

This paper aimed to analyze the effect of competition, size, and capitalization of banks on the risk taking tolerance of conventional banks in Indonesia from 2003 to 2012. Banking competition is measured by using a model Panzar-Rosse, then regress the results of this measure and other explanatory variables on the banking ?financial stability?. Risk-taking is reflected in the level of the bank's financial stability. In addition, the size and capitalization of banks is also a factor influencing risk taking. This study concluded that competition and capitalization significantly affect risk taking, while the size does not significantly affect risk taking. This paper found that increasing competition have a negative relationship with risk taking.
