Perbandingan kelembagaan administrasi pabean : analisis hubungan antara fungsi dan kinerja
There are four types of institution practiced in the world of customs, which are customs agency, revenue authority, ministry department, and border protection service. This research was conducted with the purpose to analyse those institution types. Analysis conducted on the performance of four administrations representing each type of instution and also on the performance of Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Republic of Indonesia. This research tried to identify which function considered to be the heaviest, resulted in deciding the type of institution adopted. This is an exploratory research objected to analyse and explore phenomenon not yet analysed and explored. This research concluded that border protection service type of institution adopted by administration that focused on its function as community protector. An anomaly occurred to administration using type of revenue authority. Revenue collected from customs and excise related sectors decline annually and the amount is not significant co.
