Pemeriksaan subsidi bahan bakar minyak (BBM) untuk kesejahteraan rakyat
The provision of fuel subsidy is a Government program intended to help people with the lower economic capability in running their business and daily activities. In fact, the distribution of fuel subsidies is not evenly distributed to the people who are entitled to receive. In financia year of 2011-2015 BPK found that the distribution of subsidized fuel was not in accordance with law and regulations, as the subsidized fuel was distributed to the parties who are not entitled to receive subsidies and exceed the subsidy quota. Based on the audit findings, BPK corrected the fuel subsidy value by removing it from the billing of the BBM Business Agency to the Government, thereby having a significan impact on saving Government?s expenditure on fuel subsidy payments. The savings of funds can be transferred to the infrastructure, economy, education, and public health sector. This study was conducted using literature study method by studying the BPK Audit Result Report 2012-2016, regulations, research and related articles, with a view to knowing the urgency of fuel subsidy audits and whether they have a relationship with people?s welfare. The result of this study is that fuel subsidy audit is required and has an indirect relationship with people?s welfare..
