Preferensi Kepribadian Mahasiswa Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia dalam Pemilihan Karier pada Bidang Profesi Akuntan
This study aims to determine the personality preferences of accounting students in choosing a career to enter the accounting profession after completing their studies. By using a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)-based questionnaire which was filled out by 151 accounting student respondents from the 2013-2015 class in 2018. The research used descriptive analysis method. This study reveals that most students who are interested in becoming accountants (21.43%) have STJ (sensing, thinking and judging) personality preferences. This provides sufficient evidence that prospective accountants have a type of personality preference that tends to be consistent with the findings of various previous studies. In addition, it was also found that the interest of accounting students was still high to work as accountants after completing their studies at the lecture level. Personality preferences also turned out to be related to the interests of accounting students, as evidenced by the findings of STJ's personality which is very closely related to the image of accountants who still dominate the results of this study..Ada Tabel
