Perilaku Kerelawanan Milenial dalam Penanganan Covid-19 dan Potensinya terhadap Perilaku Kerelawanan di Masa Depan

Ramadhani, Asyifa Putri - ; Banu Muhammad, S.E., M.S.E. - ; Azizon, M.Sc. (Pembimbing/Promotor) - ;

The Covid-19 pandemic is a problem that must be resolved immediately. The decline in the economic sector and limited health facilities for Covid-19 patients prove the government's unpreparedness in dealing with this problem. The state of the government during a crisis needs cooperation and support from other parties, such as citizens. The parties involved in handling Covid-19 are those who have awareness and care about field conditions, including volunteers. In addition to the government operating Covid-19 volunteer activities, zakat institutions also contribute to gathering volunteers to help deal with Covid-19. Millennials are a generation that has high potential in volunteer activities because they have the second highest number after generation Z. This study aims to find out what are the determinants that influence millennial intentions to become involved as Covid-19 volunteers and their potential for volunteering in the future. This study uses amodel Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)with the subject of zakat institutions in Indonesia in 2021. Volunteer activities in this study are non-material activities so that they take the form of direct involvement in the field. Volunteering activities will assist the government in dealing with crises not only during the Covid-19 pandemic, but also future crises. The findings in this study prove that religiosity, attitudes, behavior control, and past behavior are positively related to the intention of Covid-19 volunteerism among millennials. In addition, millennial's intention to be involved in being a Covid-19 volunteer turned out to have a positive influence on their intention to be involved again as a volunteer in the future. The volunteers involved have a strong intention to return to their role as volunteers and help the government solve the country's problems in the future. This study shows that the zakat institution is a tool for cooperation between the government and citizens to resolve the current crisis and has the potential to help solve the problems of other countries with volunteerism in the future..Ada Tabel
