Studi Eksplorasi Pengalaman Mahasiswa Bisnis dalam Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh Darurat pada masa Pandemi COVID-19
During the COVID-19 pandemic and mandatory lockdown, higher education has shifted to Emergency Remote Learning (ERL). This study aims to explore students’ perspectives on emergency remote learning during the COVID-19 era. This qualitative research was conducted using an interpretive qualitative methodology. Data were collected in April 2021 using a purposive sampling method and telephone semi-structured interviews based on the real-life experience of economic and business students with emergency remote learning during COVID-19. Data were transcribed verbatim and thematically analyzed using Braun and Clarke six-phase process. Data were classified according to the three main domains studied: challenges, opportunity and advantages, and challenges of cheating. The results revealed five themes for challenges, five themes for opportunity and advantages, and two themes for challenges for cheating. The main themes in ERL challenges were infrastructure, distraction, mental health, assessment/task, and interaction. Themes related to the opportunities and advantages of ERL were academic, time efficiency, access for communication and information, cost-effective, and increased mastery of technology. The themes surrounding the challenges of cheating were external and internal factors. By studying how university students learn during COVID-19, this research helps to explain the phenomenon of ERL from student’s perspective and can be an input in the ERL management process, especially in the context of higher education..Ada Tabel
