Hubungan Indeks Pembangunan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi dan Pertumbuhan Sektor Perdagangan Provinsi Tahun 2015-2020
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the world has developed rapidly in the last decade. These developments generally have a positive impact on the economy of a country. Indonesia is also experiencing developments in ICT. The Information and Communication Technology Development Index (IDI) is a standard measure that describes the level of development of information and communication technology in a region, the digital divide, and the potential for ICT development. One of the sectors affected by the development of ICT in Indonesia is the trade sector. This is marked by the growing development of e-commerce in Indonesia. Seeing the development of ICT in Indonesia which is marked by an increase in the value of IDI and the importance of the trade sector, in this paper the author will try to find out how the relationship between IP-ICT and the growth of the provincial trade sector in Indonesia is. The author will use panel data for 34 provinces in the 2015-2020 period. The author will use the Cobb-Douglas model for the independent variables of IDI, labor, investment, number of markets, and the ratio of roads to area. The results show that IDI has a positive and significant relationship with the growth of the trade sector. The number of markets and the ratio of roads to area also show positive and significant results. Meanwhile, investment and employment have a positive but not significant relationship with the growth of the trade sector. In this study the authors also found a negative and significant relationship between the Covid 19 pandemic and the growth of the trade sector. In addition, the authors also find differences in regional characteristics in Indonesia which cause differences in infrastructure and other variables that are significantly related to the growth of the trade sector..Ada Tabel
