In this study, the author analyze how the company's investment behavior is influenced by leverage and debt maturity. Using a balanced panel dataset from a sample of 72 Indonesian FMCG companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2021, the regression results show that leverage has a fairly large positive effect on company investment, but debt maturity is not significantly related to investment. These findings have two main implications: (i) the more debt the company has, the more investment opportunities it has, making management more careful in investing, (ii) FMCG companies do not pay attention to long-term debt or can’t view long-term debt to finance their investment spending..Ada Tabel
