This study aims to analyze cash holdings on the performance of non-financial companies in Indonesia before and during the COVID-19 pandemic and analyze the effect of non-linear cash holdings on the performance of non-financial companies in Indonesia. The research sample of this study consisted of 635 non-financial companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2018 to 2021. The research method in this study is a panel regression model with an unbalanced panel data and the estimation method used is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of the study show that there is a positive, but insignificant effect of cash holdings on firms’ performance in the pre- COVID-19 period. This positive effect allows companies to avoid high external financing and provide flexibility in using cash reserves to make more profitable investments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, cash holdings have a negative and insignificant impact on the performance of non-financial companies in Indonesia. In addition, the study also shows that cash holdings have a negative non-linear and insignificant effect on the performance of non-financial companies in Indonesia. .Ada Tabel
