Harta yang Paling Berharga adalah Keluarga? Hubungan Modal Sosial Keluarga dengan Capaian Pendidikan Anak di Indonesia
This study examines the impact of social capital on children's educational attainment and how the impact of social capital varies across different types of families. In this study, educational attainment was measured by the level of success of children in completing secondary school education, where the sample was divided into two groups, namely Junior High School (SMP) and Senior High School (SMA). By using logit regression and data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) waves 4 and 5, it was found that the results varied between levels of education. At both the junior and senior high school levels, the number of siblings, parental expectations, and parental discussions significantly affect a child's educational attainment. Meanwhile, the type of family variable only has an effect at the high school level.
