Pengaruh Pernikahan Dini pada Ibu terhadap Pendidikan Intergenerasi di Indonesia
This study investigated the association between maternal age at marriage and intergenerational education in Indonesia. This study used a binary logistic regression model with secondary data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) wave 5 in 2014. The unit of analysis used in this study was children aged 25 years or older with. This study used intergenerational education as the dependent variable and maternal age of marriage as the main independent variable. Meanwhile, other independent variables used were gender, father's education, the ratio of education costs, place of residence, and region of residence. The results of the study showed that mother’s age at marriage age was positively correlated and significantly impacted intergenerational education in Indonesia. It shows that the probability of having a low intergenerational education was higher among children who were born to mothers who were married at child’s age (18 years or younger) than among children of mothers who were married at older than 18 years. The same effect was shown after controlling for gender, father's education, the ratio of education costs, place of living area, and place of residence. This study shows that the probability of low intergenerational education was higher for female children, had fathers with low levels of education, had a low ratio of household education expenditure, lived in rural areas, and lived in Java..Ada Tabel
