Pengaruh Migrasi Anak terhadap Pencapaian Pendidikan Jangka Panjang di Indonesia
The Human Development Index in Indonesia, particularly the education indicator, has shown an increasing trend since 2010. Previous research has shown that migration is one of the factors that affect HDI, especially in education. This research aims to study the effect of children’s migration on long-term educational attainment in Indonesia. This study employs longitudinal data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) in 2000, 2007 and 2014 analysed using the multinomial logistic regression. Using three different migration measurements, the results of the study show that children who have migrated, migrated repeatedly, or migrated alone and accompanied by others, tend to be less likely to achieve higher levels of education, either at the high school, vocational, or college level compared to primary education level. This can be affected by the internal factors of children, migration motives, and migration destinations. In addition, there are other factors that also affect the achievement of each level of children's education in the long term, such as gender, household size, parents' education, percapita expenditure, education costs, area of residence, and region..Ada Tabel
