Hubungan Desentralisasi Fiskal dan Disparitas Pendapatan pada Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia: Bukti Empirik dari Evolusi Kemandirian Daerah
Currently, many countries are starting to implement policies to improve income distribution and decentralization of the expenditure function of local governments and their sources of income. In implementing the policy, there are many influnced factors. This study investigates the effect of fiscal decentralization on income disparities in 508 regencies/municipalities in Indonesia during the 2010-2019 period. This result examines the extent to which regional expenditure and taxation responsibilities are given to the subnational governments. The results show that the fiscal decentralization policy intervention in 2015, can reduce income disparities in the year after the intervention and in the years after. However, these results do not indicate the significance of the two variables of fiscal decentralization. However, there are different results at the regencies and municipalities levels. Where the results show that decentralization at the municipalities level is better than decentralization at the regencies level. Furthermore, Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Langsung since 2015 have been proven to reduce income disparities at the subnational level..Ada Tabel
