Tackling Talent Shortage: A Case Study of Recruiting SLIK Developers For XYZ in PT Marilyn Consulting Group (Laporan Magang)
As a cause of the rapid development of the digital sector, also known as industry 4.0, the talent market has transformed, resulting in a 600.000 gap every year between tech skill supply and demand in Indonesia, and has been quoted as tech-talent shortage. PT Marilyn Consulting Group, an executive search firm, was responsible for recruiting a SLIK Developer for XYZ, a financial institution whose role is to regulate and supervise financial services. Understanding that Indonesia is currently short in tech talent supply has made the recruitment a challenge. Using specialized recruitment methods, from understanding the job brief, sourcing candidates using LinkedIn RPS, interviewing, and presenting candidates to client, PT Marilyn Consulting Group has successfully recruited a SLIK Developer. The factors that led to the success of finding a SLIK developer despite tech talent shortage were the consultant database, the competition with other companies in recruiting the best talent, the client and candidate openness towards information, and candidate’s willingness to join the company. The Author from its 14 weeks internship program and through analysis and observation of the company’s recruitment strategy can clearly state that PT Marilyn Consulting Group has effectively recruited a SLIK developer for XYZ..Ada Tabel
