Pengaruh Kesehatan Mental Ibu Terhadap Status Gizi Anak di Indonesia
Malnutrition in children is still a problem that is often faced by low- and middleincome countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to determine the influence of maternal mental health on children's nutritional status longitudinally in the short term (when children are 0-5 years old) and long term (when children are 7-12 years old). Using IFLS 4 and 5 data, this study looked at stunting and underweight status in children as measured using the height-for-age Z score (HAZ) and weight-for-age Z score (WAZ). Analysis using the logistic regression method showed that mental health disorders in mothers were positively and significantly associated with the probability of children experiencing underweight nutritional status in the short and long term. However, the effect of maternal mental health disorders on children's stunting status is only seen in the long term. In addition, there are other factors that also influence the stunting and underweight status of children, including gender, birth weight, exclusive breastfeeding, child protein intake, mother's age at delivery, mother's height, mother's education level, working status of mother, per capita expenditure and number of household members, water quality, sanitation quality and area of residence. This study also captures changes that occur in children's protein intake and environmental characteristics..Ada Tabel
