Pengaruh ASEAN-Plus terhadap Kemakmuran dan Konvergensi Ekonomi
Although ASEAN-Plus aim to achieve economic prosperity and equality among its members as part of ASEAN economic integration effort, data shows that there is rising gap after the formation of ASEAN-Plus. This study aims to determine whether the ASEAN-Plus effort is the right one to achieve the goal of ASEAN economic integration. The study covers 5 agreements in ASEAN-Plus namely ACFTA, AKFTA, AJCEP, AANZFTA and RCEP with the period 2000 – 2019. All data is processed using the panel data method where to choose between Fixed Effect and Random Effect the Hausman Test is carried out. The results show that the formation of ASEAN-Plus increases prosperity but there is no convergence effect. The invisibility of the convergence effect may occur due to the limitation of research, that does not conduct testing in the long term, such as testing using the Panel Cointegration method as well as its analysis that is conducted at country-level and not on product-level. .Ada Tabel
