Pengaruh Metode Perekrutan CEO Secara Internal atau Eksternal Pada Performa Perusahaan: Studi 300 Perusahaan Publik di Indonesia Periode Covid-19 Tahun 2018-2021

This study examines the connection between firm performance and how CEO is elected (internally or eternally) while also comparing the results during Covid-19 period (2020-2021) or the whole period without Covid-19 considerations (2018-2021). The data on CEO succession method and tenure was taken from Bloomberg, while others are taken from Thomson Reuters Eikon for 300 companies with the biggest market capitalization that are listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Using quarterly panel data for multiple regression with fixed effect model, result shows that firms with outsider CEO outperform firms with insider CEO in 2018-2021. Meanwhile there are no significant impact of CEO succession method during Covid-19 period..Ada Tabel
