Pengaruh ESG terhadap Kinerja Keuangan pada Perusahaan Sektor Consumer Goods, Financials, dan Industrials di ASEAN-5 Periode 2011-2020
This study aims to determine the effect of ESG and its three pillars toward companies' financial performance. This research was conducted using a balanced data panel and the random effect method. The research comprises 37 listed companies from 3 selected sectors (consumer goods, financials, and industrials) in ASEAN-5 countries (Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Philippines), with a total of 37 observations over the years 2011–2020. The result of this study shows ESG and its three pillars have negative effect on ROA but positive effect on ROIC and TobinsQ. Therefore, ESG and its three pillars make companies experience loss in short term but build companies sustainability in long term. It indicates that although ESG and its three pillars tend to decrease short term profitability but good ESG performance will contribute positif effect on financial performance and company value in long term which is show by ROIC and TobinsQ, in a row. .Ada Tabel
