Pengaruh Aglomerasi Industri Terhadap Probabilitas Perusahaan Untuk Melakukan Ekspor
In 2015, manufacturing exports contributed to around 75% of Indonesia’s exports. However, exports are dominated by only 20% of Indonesia’s manufacturing firms undertaking exports. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting firms’ exporting probability using the Annual Survey of Manufacturing Industry Companies year 2010- 2015 with the focus on industrial agglomeration variables. By employing Probit estimation, this study finds that localization, urbanization, and export spillover as agglomeration variables are significant in affecting a firm’s exporting probability. On the subsample analysis separated based on location and size, the study finds that agglomeration variables are significant in the subsample of firms located in Java and for medium-sized firms. Furthermore, on the subsample using both characteristics agglomeration is found to be significant for large firms located in Java. As controlling variables, productivity, company size, percentage of foreign income, and export experience have a positive and significant impact on the probability of a company exporting..Ada Tabel
