Sticky priors: the perseverance of identity effects on judgment

This research investigates identity-based judgments, that is, judgments people make while bringing to mind the perspective of an identity. The authors explore the effects of identity on judgment in a series of studies that involve different kinds of identities (eg, parent, teenager, businessperson, environmentalist) linked to different objects and issues (eg, Internet censorship, pollution credits, electronic books).
