The authors welcome the comments of Professors Lok and Willmott on their recent paper proposing a discursive approach to institutional theory. However, they maintain that a discourse analytic approach provides an important avenue for the development of institutional theory, providing the necessary theoretical infrastructure to begin to understand the nature of institutionalization and the dynamics of power that frame institutional processes.Printed Journal
