X-efficiency of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) : A preliminary study
Investigating the determinants of efficiency has been one of the popular topics among researchers in banking studies. In the past decades, researchers have managed to eximane and identify various factors that have significant influence on eficiency. These studie however, are concentrated on the conventional banking environment and not many attempts were made to evaluate the efficiency level of islamic banks. This study invetigates variables that contribute to the efficiency of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad using a stochastic cost frontier approach. The results indicate that overall efficiency (OE) and allocative efficiency (AE) of Bank Islam are below significant level. .Baca di tempat
