Comment on Le, Oh, Shaffer, and Schmidt

Osterman, Paul - ;

Le, Oh, Shaffer, and Schmidt (LOSS) have a simple message: their ideas have not been accepted and implemented to the degree that they deserve. The LOSS message is that tests of General Mental Ability (GMA) provide "excellent prediction of performance for all jobs in all settings." Note the double "all" not to mention the "excellent". It is not that it is never appropriate to consider GMA nor is GMA irrelevant. GMA is but one factor, and not necessarily the most important one, that determines performance. Firms have many tools for improving the performance of their employees across the entire GMA distribution..Printed Journal. komentar untuk artikel "Implications of methodological advances for the practice of personnel selection: how practitioners benefit from meta-analysis"
