Management education in the emerging knowledge economy: going beyond "those who can, do; those who can't, teach"

A variety of recently raised concerns about management education may have arisen because universities traditionally operated as if they had a monopoly in the enterprise of knowledge, but now must compete in knowledge markets. If so, the various separate concerns may manifest symptoms of obsolescence within traditional practices, rather than our falling short of ideals. Management educators may need to compete in markets in addition to doing research and teaching about management within competitive markets..Printed journal
