Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is one of emerging information technologies applications in many sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, and healthcare sector. In healthcare industry, usage of RFID technology is convinced to improve patient safety, operate more efficiency, and reduce medical error. The purpose of this paper is to identify dimensions and factors of RFID adoption using SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis. Dimensions of internal strengths are two that is (1) perceived benefits and (2) technology competencies. Internal weaknesses such as: (1) lack of organization readiness and (2) lack of user readiness. Dimensions of opportunities include (1) external impetuses and (2) increased of RFID patent. Whereas, external threats are: (1) complexity and (2) lack of partner readiness.Printed journal
