Global Strategy Journal third launch issue: Co-editors' introduction

Tallman, Stephen - ; Pedersen, Torben - ;

The very first issue of Global Strategy Journal (GSJ) was published in May 2011, and you are now sitting with the first issue of the second volume. So although these are still the early days for the journal, it is an appropriate time to reflect on the first year. It has indeed been a very good year for GSJ, both in terms of quantity, as more than 150 manuscripts have been submitted so far, and of quality. The launch issue has formed the agenda for the topical issues in global strategy, which also are reflected in the increasing number of citations to the articles in the launch issue of GSJ (in few months, the first issue has received more than 100 Google citations). This increase in submissions and recognition is also the main reason we recently expanded the editorial review board. GSJ will further stimulate the debate on topical issues in global strategy through the publication of special issues. The first special issue on ?Developing country multinational companies? follows later this year and another special issue on ?Strategic modularity and the architecture of the multinational firm? is in the pipeline, while others have submission deadlines scheduled later this year..Printed journal
