Analisis Pengaruh Efisiensi Biaya, Pandemi COVID-19, Tipe, dan Kepemilikan Bank terhadap Penciptaan Likuiditas Perbankan di Indonesia
This study aims to analyze the impacts of cost efficiency, COVID-19 pandemic, bank type (islamic or conventional), and bank ownership type on liquidity creation. This study used 78 banks from Indonesia banking industry with monthly data from period of before and after pandemic from January 2019 to April 2022. This study also analyze the role of pandemic COVID-19 as a moderating variable to the relationship of cost efficiency and liquidity creation. Using unbalanced panel data with Hybrid Model regression (Generalized Linear Mixed Models) the result shows that there is negative and significant influence of cost efficiency on liquidity creation. There is no significant influence of COVID-19 pandemic on liquidity creation. Pandemic COVID-19 does not significantly moderate the relationship of cost efficiency and liquidity creation. There is no significant inluence of bank type on liquidity creation. Bank ownership type significantly influence liquidity creation, where as private national banks create more liquidity than state owned and foreign banks.
